| Living by that
time in Stockholm and after his first cajun record: a flop..., he left Sweden,
took up the accordeon and started, this time in Germany, his first Cajun
Band. The cajun Star-singer Johnnie Allan from Lafayette, wrote 1994: My friend Yannick Monot proves to be a true European Cajun & Zydeco ambassador. Our Austria tour was a blast! the audiences loved him. Yannick Monot was two times honored with the german records critic award for his work With his band Nouvelle France he is every year on tour in Europe and belongs to the few artists who are not only keeping a culture alive, but give it new impulses. His recordings (until now at the number of 8), are an inspiration for a new generation of cajun & Zydeco musicians. When not on tour, Yannick Monot is travelling somewhere between Africa or southeast Asia or just at home, in his recording studio in Germany.
